A Multi-Formalism Approach For System Specification

چکیده

This paper deals with embedded systems modelling, mixed hardware/software codesign, and more generally structured codesign methodology for avionics systems. This methodology is based on two main concepts: multi-formalism specifications and a unified system model. The multi-formalism concept allows to combine partial specifications expressed in various formalisms. As a matter of fact, an embedded systems specification is usually spanned through more than one formalism, each one coveing one type of system functions. Partial system specifications are composed into a unified system model which also serves as a basis for hardware/software partitioning and analysis. The defined system model supports the main systemlevel concepts expressed in specifications formalisms and has lower abstract levels covering the behavioural and the register transfer levels.

A Mechanism for Dynamic Role Playing

The work presented in this article is based upon a methodological approach for building Multi-Agent Systems specifications. The basic idea is to define such systems as a set of entities playing roles which have interactions between them. We present a mechanism for dynamic role-playing specification within a formal framework. The framework use a formalism which can express Multi-Agent Systems as...

An organizational model for multi-scale and multi-formalism simulation: Application in carbon dynamics simulation in West-African Savanna

This paper presents Organization-Role-Entity-Aspect (OREA) model, an organizational model for multi-scale and multi-formalism description of complex systems. OREA is based on the assumption that one issue in complex system simulation is to integrate multi-scale and multi-formalism representation. To achieve this issue, we use an approach based on organization-centered multi-agents systems and D...

Formal Specification and Prototyping of Multi-agent Systems

This paper presents a multi agent-oriented prototyping approach. It is a generic approach, applicable to a wide range of multi-agent systems. This approach relies on a few assumptions, the most important is that MAS must be described by an organizational model which semantics is given in term of a formal framework. This model allows for a simple description of both individual and collective mul...

A Multi-Formalism Modeling Framework: Formal Definitions, Model Composition and Solution Strategies

In this paper, we present a multi-formalism modeling framework (abbreviated by MFMF) for modeling and simulation. The proposed framework is defined based on the concepts of meta-models and uses object-orientation to overcome the complexities and to enhance the extensibility. The framework can be used as a basis for modeling by various formalisms and to support model composition in a unified man...
